This year’s sorting series will have a yearend belt buckle award for champion and reserve champion. Year end qualifiers are placed by adding up each rider’s highest number of sorted cattle at each event. (Riders on multiple teams do not get a cumulative score; the one highest score is counted)

One rider - One Cow competitions will be held at the conclusion of each event as long as the cattle aren’t too tired.  Signups for one-on-one are $5 per rider. Champion is paid $10. Sign ups are the day of the event.

Sorting is a pre-entry event. Riders who sign up and do not show up the day of the event will be responsible for cost of their slot.

Things to know…
·        This is a “multi-go around” event, 3 “goes”
·        Teams are limited, you must pre enter by 1 week before the show
(pre enter means entry and check in our hands, )
·        Each team is 2 or 3 people at 90$ per team
·        Once you cross the “eye” your 75 seconds will start and your number will be             called
·        Example: #8 is called… you bring cow numbers 8,9,0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7 in order
·        Once an out of order cow crosses the eye (time is up) cows are counted
·        If any cows that are already sorted cross back over the eye (no time) no cows           are counted
·        After three runs each teams cows will be added up for their final score
·        If multiple teams have the same number of cows the shortest time will win
·        NO unsportsmanlike conduct
·        NO roughing the cattle or horses (no hazing)
·        No dogs, swearing or alcohol

***This is a pre entry event. Last minute entries will be accepted if space is available. Last minute entries will probably run Sundays as Saturdays fill up quickly***

Horses For Sale/Lease

"Mocca" ~ for partial lease
14 year old gated mare. sweet as pie! shes 16.2 and a beautiful ride. rides english/western. trails or in the ring. she is super quiet "husband type" and will happily go on trails alone or with others. trailers easily as well.

update: in the 2014 season we have introduced mocca to team penning, ranch sorting and versatility. all of which she has excelled beyond expectations!

"levi" ~For partial lease

QH gelding  15.1 and stocky. has a morgan type head. really sweet easy going horse but he can be a "butt head" as my younger students like to call him. advanved beginner safe as long as the rider is confident on the ground. great for trails, also a show type. would be a nice hunter flat horse or low level dressage horse. he will jump anything i put in front of him but has not had much jumping training, not a stopper(if he doesnt want to jump it he just knocks it down) this horse is ideal for a pleasure/ schooling show rider

"liberty" ~For partial lease

Morgan gelding.15.1 hand gelding. really well put together horse. he is a little lazy over fences but has jumped everything ive asked him to. currently he is schooling dressage with the goal of competing first level in the 2014 show season. Lazy, but with the right rider he can really sit down and push from behind(you just have to convince him that he has to GO) in the 2013 season (his first season in professional training) he traveled off property to low key hunter paces and was unphased; trailers, stands quietly and doesnt get amped up about being somewhere new. this horse is suited for an intermediet to advanced rider, confident,  with quiet hands and a good seat.

"dreamer" ~Sold

9 year old OTTB
15.1 hand mare

‘Dreamer” may be small but she got a big jump! Very well put together mare with a good TB brain and she is super athletic. She is currently being brought back into work from a “lack of rider” situation. Her owner went off to college.  When she was in work she was schooling 2’6-2’9.Her current work schedule includes w/t/c, lateral work, cavaletti and small fences. She lunges very well, stands for farrier and vet and trailers. in the opinion of her trainers dreamer would be best suited for an intermediate rider with quiet hands and a good seat who would like to do low level eventing, dressage, fox hunting ,hunter paces or show jumping. She’s got a lot of athleticism and good energy.  With the right rider, work and some training she could do hunters.  Show type home preferred. 2500 obo. Great home is a must!
